Doug Drewes is a Philadelphia-based bassist, educator, and arts leader known for his warm sound, deep time feel, and thoughtful approach to the bandstand. A versatile performer rooted in jazz, Doug has appeared with many of the region’s top musicians and brings a supportive, creative voice to everything from small-group swing to original music and recording projects.

In addition to performing, Doug is a dedicated teacher, offering private lessons and clinics for students of all levels. He is also the Executive Director of Jazz Bridge, where he helps support and uplift jazz and blues musicians throughout the Greater Philadelphia region.
